Rocky Mount, NC - The North Carolina Wesleyan women's lacrosse team will take the field for the first time this fall when the Battling Bishops host Columbia College (S.C.) in a home scrimmage on Friday, October 24. Game time is set for 6:00 p.m. at Stallings Field.
The matchup provides an early look at the 2026 Bishops as first-year head coach Robert Simpson's squad continues to build momentum heading into the spring season. Returning players such as Nicole Triassi, Alison Zuniga, and Bri Garcia headline a group that has worked throughout the fall to strengthen both sides of the field.
Friday's contest will give the Bishops a chance to measure its progress and test new offensive sets, defensive alignments, and transition play against a talented Columbia College program. The scrimmage also marks the team's lone fall appearance in front of the home crowd before officially opening the 2026 campaign in February.
First draw is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at Stallings Field in Rocky Mount. Admission is free, and fans are encouraged to come out and support the Bishops as NCWU closes out its fall slate.
