Stine Named to USA South Women's Lacrosse All-Sportsmanship Team

Rome, GA — The USA South Athletic Conference has announced its 2025 All-Sportsmanship Team selections for women's lacrosse, with N.C. Wesleyan's Jillian Stine earning recognition for her leadership, resilience, and exemplary conduct both on and off the field.

A junior goalkeeper from Maryland, Jillian Stine has been a steady and spirited presence for the Battling Bishops throughout her career. Her selection to the USA South All-Sportsmanship Team highlights not only her on-field efforts but also her integrity, positive attitude, and sportsmanlike behavior in the face of competition.

The USA South All-Sportsmanship Team honors one player from each conference institution who best exemplifies the league's values of respect, fairness, and character. Stine's nomination underscores her commitment to those principles, as she consistently led by example and earned the respect of teammates, coaches, opponents, and officials alike.

In the 2025 season, Stine surpassed the 300-save milestone for her career, finishing the year with 111 saves across eleven starts. She logged a total of 660 minutes in net and faced 410 shots, ending the season with a .355 save percentage. Despite the challenging schedule, Stine never wavered in her effort, continuing to anchor the Wesleyan defense with toughness and resolve.

Beyond the statistics, Stine's leadership was evident in her communication, composure, and commitment to her team. Whether offering words of encouragement, hustling in and out of the crease, or congratulating opponents, her sportsmanship set a lasting tone for the Bishops.

Stine's recognition as a USA South All-Sportsmanship selection is a testament to the values she upholds and the example she sets for others.
