Rome, GA - After an impressive 2024-25 campaign,
Nadia Simmons has been named to the USA South First Team, recognizing her as one of the top players in the conference this season.
Simmons, a graduate student guard, was a key contributor for the Battling Bishops throughout the season, averaging thirteen points, 4.3 rebounds, and three assists per game across 24 contests, including 22 starts. Her consistent play on both ends of the floor helped lead Wesleyan to a 16-9 record and a deep run in the USA South Tournament.
Simmons reached double figures in scoring thirteen times this season, including a season-high 23 points in a conference win over Meredith. She finished the year shooting 47.3% from the field and 37.9% from beyond the arc, proving to be one of the league's most efficient scorers.
In addition to her offensive production, Simmons added 43 steals and nine blocks, providing a strong presence on the defensive end as well.
