Rome, GA - Following a standout 2024-25 season, N.C. Wesleyan women's basketball forward Corynthian Williams has been named to the USA South Second Team All-Conference, recognizing her as one of the league's top performers.

Williams, a senior, played in all 24 games for the Battling Bishops, earning 20 starts and averaging 23.1 minutes per contest. She averaged 9.6 points per game, finishing the season with 231 total points. Her offensive game featured a strong combination of drives to the basket, mid-range shooting, and perimeter scoring, highlighted by 27 made three-pointers.

On the glass, Williams showcased her toughness by pulling down 100 total rebounds, including 31 offensive boards, to average 4.2 rebounds per game. Her effort on the boards consistently provided the Bishops with second-chance opportunities and crucial defensive stops.

Defensively, Williams made her mark with 25 steals and five blocks, using her length and anticipation to disrupt opposing offenses. She also contributed thirteen assists and served as a steady presence on both ends of the floor.

Throughout the season, Williams delivered several standout performances, including an eighteen-point game against Averett, a seventeen-point showing at Brevard, and a season-high nineteen points in the USA South Tournament against Brevard. She reached double figures in scoring twelve times, establishing herself as a go-to offensive option.

Her consistency extended to the free-throw line, where she connected on nearly 80% of her attempts, further underscoring her reliability in clutch moments.

Williams' all-around contributions and leadership were instrumental in Wesleyan's success this season, and her well-deserved spot on the USA South Second Team highlights the impact she made throughout the conference.
