Rocky Mount, NC - On Sunday, the N.C. Wesleyan women's soccer program welcomes a full slate of competition to Scalf FieldĀ for its annual Spring Play Date. The day features a mix of 11v11 and 8v8 matches, with eight visiting teams joining the Bishops for a dynamic and competitive showcase of off-season talent.
The event kicksĀ off with a series of 11v11 matchups, with Wesleyan taking on Salem in the morning opener, followed by Salem facing Johnson & Wales (JWU), and wrapping up with the Bishops squaring off against JWU in a pair of fast-paced 30-minute contests.
Following the morning games, teams transitionĀ into 8v8 action across three fields for continuous 25-minute matches. NCWU fieldsĀ two squads (NCWU 1 and NCWU 2), each seeing four contests across the afternoon session. NCWU 1 matchesĀ up against Meredith, JWU, and Chowan, while NCWU 2 facesĀ Barton, Ferrum, and Salem.
In addition to the soccer action, fans and players can enjoyĀ local flavor courtesy of Brandy's Food Truck, who will beĀ on-site serving up favorites like cheesesteaks and fries throughout the day.
The event concludesĀ with a friendly NCWU Alumni match at 4:00 p.m., capping off a full day of Bishop soccer.
