NCWC Women's Hoops Season Comes to a Close at Methodist

Fayetteville, N.C. - With a 71-48 loss at Methodist University on Saturday afternoon, the North Carolina Wesleyan women's basketball team saw its 2015-16 season come to a close. The Monarchs (13-9, 8-6 USA South) shot a solid 43 percent from the floor on the day and held the Bishops to just 26 percent accuracy to secure the win.

KeChae Parker led Wesleyan with a team-high 14 points, while fellow sophomore Shekinah Huggins grabbed nine rebounds. MU was paced by Ayanna Peques' game-high 15 points.

Wesleyan finishes the season with a 9-16 overall record, which includes a 6-10 mark in the USA South. The Bishops were eliminated from conference tournament play via head-to-head records versus league foes Meredith and Covenant.
