New York, NY - The N.C Wesleyan cross country programs traveled up to the Big Apple this weekend to compete at the Queensborough Invitational. Before competing in Bayside, NY, Coach Dunn and the squad went sight seeing around NYC including the 9/11 Memorial Museum, which is a moving experience for all who go. The trip was a great way for the cross country team to get a great cultural experience, which is a tremendous team bonding opportunity as well.
For the actual meet,
Quincy Brown would be Wesleyan's top runner on the men's side finishing with a time of 44:17:80 in a field of nearly 150 competitors from across all parts of the country. The same is true on the women's side of the event, as
Kamiyah Wooten would finish 60th in the 500M with a time of 29:14:60.
Mariah Brooks would not finish much behind her with a time of 31:14:90 to give the Battling Bishops a great performance in a field of 132.
