Charlotte, NC - The N.C. Wesleyan cross country program kicked off its 2024 season at the Queen City Invite, hosted by Queens University in Charlotte.
On the women's side, sophomore Kamiyah Wooten led the Bishops with a strong showing, completing the 5K with a time of 26:03.04, placing her in the top 100 runners. Kensondra Pickett also turned in a noteworthy performance in her first ever collegiate meet, finishing under 30 minutes with a time of 28:01.08.
On the men's side, Juan Abascal was the lone competitor for the Bishops, clocking a time of 29:25.01 in the 8K, which earned him a spot in the top 100.
