Women's Basketball Cruises Past Brevard to Begin Road Trip

Box Score Brevard, NC - The N.C. Wesleyan women's basketball program cruised past Brevard to open the trip trip in the western part of North Carolina.. The 71-59 victory was led by Corynthian Williams who had a monster 14 points and eight rebounds. Wesleyan also was able to catch fire from behind the three part line shooting over 50% from three and 40% from the floor.

Guards Nadia Simmons and Harmony Martin saw themselves in double figures for the Battling Bishops, both scoring ten points each and combining for ten rebounds, which is extremely rare from back court players. Impressively, the defensive effort is what won the game, holding an opponent to under 60 points for the second time this year while holding the Tornadoes to 0-10 from behind the arc.
