Allen Kuiper Selected as NCAA College Basketball Academy Pathway Coach

Rock Hill, SC - N.C. Wesleyan Assistant Women's Basketball Coach Allen Kuiper has been selected to be an individual pathway coach at the NCAA College Basketball Academy women's program, which will take place July 23-25 at Winthrop.

The NCAA College Basketball Academies are designed to give prospective men's and women's student-athletes a sample of the college basketball experience. Kuiper and other members of the National Association of Basketball Coaches at the developmental summer academy will instruct high school juniors and seniors on high-level basketball competition and life skills instruction.

Participants and their chaperons attend life skills courses about NCAA eligibility and compliance, the recruiting process, NIL opportunities, agents and the transfer portal.

There are three pathways -- the national, team, and individual pathways.

The individual pathway, in which Kuiper will be an instructor, involves up to 300 prospective student-athletes from the classes of 2025 and 2026 whom are chosen by NCAA Division I head coaches. The event is the only summer event that DI coaches are allowed to attend.

"It is a tremendous honor to be selected once again selected to be a part of the NCAA College Basketball Academy and given the opportunity to represent myself and North Carolina Wesleyan University. I am looking forward to working with some of the top coaches across America in teaching the game of basketball and life to the nation's best athletes."
