Kyiah Simmons has been named to the NFCA Division III All-Region Third Team, as announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association on Wednesday. Simmons earned the prestigious recognition for Region VI, marking a standout conclusion to her impressive 2025 season.
A powerful presence in the middle of the lineup all year, Simmons was a force for the Battling Bishops, finishing the season with a .365 batting average, 46 hits, 12 doubles, and a team-leading 11 home runs and 44 RBI in 45 starts. She also posted a .722 slugging percentage and reached base at a .441 clip, firmly establishing herself as one of the top offensive threats in the region.
Simmons was one of 383 student-athletes selected nationwide to the NFCA's All-Region Teams, which are divided across ten geographic regions and three teams per region. The honor recognizes players for their outstanding contributions on the field and is based on nominations and votes from NFCA member coaches.
"Kyiah had an incredible season and was a driving force in our team's success," said Head Coach John Brackett. "Her ability to come through in big moments, especially with runners on base, helped propel us deep into the postseason."
Behind Simmons and a talented lineup, the Battling Bishops compiled a 29-16 overall record, including a 14-4 mark in USA South play, and advanced to the USA South Championship Series.
The NFCA All-Region nod caps off a year in which Simmons not only proved her talent against elite competition but solidified her reputation as one of the most feared hitters in the USA South.
Simmons now advances to the ballot for NFCA All-America consideration, which will be announced May 28 during the NCAA Division III Championship banquet in Bloomington, Illinois.
