Rocky Mount, NC - North Carolina Wesleyan Athletics is proud to announce graduate student Ragan Holloman as the 2024–25 N.C. Wesleyan Female Student-Athlete of the Year. A standout right fielder on the Battling Bishop softball team, Holloman has exemplified excellence both on the field and in the classroom throughout her career.

A native of Louisburg, North Carolina, Holloman recently completed a stellar graduate season, starting all 45 games while helping lead the Bishops to a 29-16 overall record. At the plate, she was a dominant force, posting a .394 batting average with 50 hits in 127 at-bats. She tallied thirteen doubles, six triples, two home runs, 42 RBIs, and 37 runs scored, while maintaining an on-base percentage of .474 and a slugging percentage of .638. Her defensive contributions were also strong, recording a .957 fielding percentage.

Her performance on the field earned her Second-Team All-Conference honors from the USA South Athletic Conference. She also achieved a personal milestone with the highest on-base percentage of her career.

"Ragan is one of the hardest working and most dependable players I've ever coached," said Head Coach John Brackett. "She brings consistency, leadership, and maturity to our program, and I'm incredibly proud of everything she has accomplished as a Bishop."

Athletic Director Aaron Denton added, "Ragan represents everything we value in a student-athlete at N.C. Wesleyan. Her impact on the field, in the classroom, and in the community has been outstanding. She has set a standard for excellence that future student-athletes will strive to follow."

Her dedication, achievements, and leadership have rightfully earned her this prestigious honor, capping off an exceptional season at North Carolina Wesleyan.
