Compiling the greatest offensive season of any Battling Bishop in history, Tyson Bass left a mark on the Wesleyan baseball program in his four years as a Bishop. Breaking the school's all-time and single-season home run record (48,21) in his last ever at-bat, Bass went on to play at UNC for his fifth season under Bishop alumnus Scott Forbes.
Ending the 2024 campaign with a .369 BA, Bass recorded 79 hits and drove in 57 runs in a year which saw the Bishops appear in a NCAA Regional Championship for the first time in nearly two decades. The 2024 USA South Player of the Year led Wesleyan to three regionals and two conference titles in his time as a Battling Bishop.Â
