A product of Wilson, NC and Hunt High School, Charlie Simpson left his mark on the Battling Bishop baseball program, earning All-American status in 1985. He also held the record for most career home runs at 47 for nearly 40 seasons before fellow Hunt graduate Tyson Bass broke the record at 48 in 2024.
