A 1989 Battling Bishop graduate, Chris Bratcher is one of the most prolific shooters in school history, scoring over 30 points a game multiple times in his career, Bratcher made seven three pointers in a single game on December 1st, 1987 against Mt. Olive.

Putting together two of the greatest seasons in men's basketball history, Bratcher scored an incredible 493 points in the 1987-88 season and made nearly 60 three pointers the following year.
Scoring 1,776 points in his illustrious career, Bratcher ranks third all-time on the NCWU scoring list and was a USA South all-conference selection all four years as a Battling Bishop. An all-region selection in the 1987-88 and 1988 and 89 campaigns, he was also selected as an all-tournament selection by the league in 1985-86 and 1988-89.

Earning the highest honor a Battling Bishop athlete can earn in a single academic year, Bratcher earned the 1988-89 NCWU Male Athlete of the Year accolade.
