Earning the greatest honor a Battling Bishop can earn, Jamie Whiting is one of seven Wesleyan baseball athletes/coaches to have their jersey retired at historic Bauer Field. Holding two NCAA DIII national records, Whiting lead the country in at-bats from 1994-98 with 728. He also led the nation in runs scored with 222 in his illustrious four year career as a Bishop.
Being named NCWU's Male Athlete of the Year in 1996-97, he earned first-team all-conference accolades twice all while being top five in several offensive categories.Â
